- 1st Place: Millers (225 for the week, 451 running total)
- 2nd Place: Smedley's (206 for the week, 441 running total)
So, a lot of us are improving as the challenge goes on, and a few of us, are not improving quite so much. :) For those of you that improved, that is seriously legit (as Kirk would say). The good news is for the Miller's this week, as they are now DOMINATING this challenge. So, I hope us Smedleys have been sufficiently humbled and can come back with flying colors this week. (I know, I'm not an un-biased wellness challenge leader :) The competition is still young, and it is anyone's game. Keep working hard!
So Saturday, I talked Yvonne into runing a 5K with me--So we do it in 38:33. I lunge at the finish line to capture third place! I have a magnet on my fridge to prove it! First time I have ever beat Yvonne in a running event. I did it for the team--team Smedley/Pantelakis! I nearly died doing it but I did it to prove we are strong and can do hard things. For more details on the story, check back later when my conscience kicks in. We are loving the challenge. Hope the Millers are too. Some things are definitely a pain, others not so much, but I definitely have taken a closer look at the priorities in my life and hope some of these changes will be become permanent. Although we do plan to win (lunge at the finish line if we need to), we are kind and gracious winners. Shelley
